Milan Design Week will be held again after two gap years on April 17-23, 2023.
Milan Design Week and the furniture fair held at the same time are the most important events in the industry, which bring together the pioneers of living and design from around the world.
Habitarematerials from Finland is participating in the Milan design event for the first time.
Habitarematerials takes 14 different companies with it from Finland when the truck leaves Helsinki for Milan. Witka Wood interior wood panels are included as products of the manufacturer Novo Wood.
“Finnish wood expertise is the best in the world,” says Ville Witka. “That’s why it’s great to be involved in Milan with our partner Novo Wood.”
Habitarematerials is putting together an exhibition in Alcova, which this year will be located in the former wholesale market area called Ex Macello near Porta Vittoria.
Alcova’s exhibition is one of the most followed events of Milan Design Week in recent years. It presents the future of living and design as part of the program of the Fuorisalone event.
Habitarematerials brings together a material library from Finland, which consists of products from 14 different companies. The experiential material library consists of various surface materials from Finnish companies and invites the international design audience to learn more about them.
Alcova’s exhibition offers visitors space and freedom to go through the materials and get to know their tastes by trying different combinations of surfaces and colors.
Witka Wood materials are displayed in a variety of ways and e.g. Witka Wood wood panels have been used for the surfaces of the exhibition’s fair furniture.
“The materials are displayed attractively and there is product information behind the product models, which can be described and thus taken with you for purchases,” say Jussi Laine and Maria Klemetti Laine of NEMO architects who put together the Habitarematerials material library.
